Our mission is to provide vital support and resources that empower these children to thrive in their educational journey and beyond.

Personalised Support

We recognise that supporting SEN children extends beyond the classroom. The Nigel Prosser Foundation is committed to providing resources, guidance, and community for families navigating the complexities of special educational needs. Our family support group offer practical advice, emotional support, and opportunities for connection, ensuring that no family feels alone in their journey.

Resource Hub

The Nigel Prosser Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with special needs and their families. Our resource hub serves as a comprehensive platform, offering valuable information, tools, and support to navigate the challenges faced by those with diverse abilities.

Advocacy Work

Our impact goes beyond direct support. We actively advocate for increased awareness and understanding of special educational needs within the community. By partnering with schools, local organisations, and policymakers, we work to promote inclusive practices that benefit all children. Together, we can create a more compassionate and equitable environment for SEN families.

We invite you to join us in our mission. Whether through volunteering, donating, or spreading the word, your support helps us continue our vital work. Together, we can create a brighter future for SEN children and their families, ensuring they receive the support and recognition they deserve.

The work we've done so far...

Since its establishment in September 2024, the Nigel Prosser Foundation has been dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of families with children who have special educational needs (SEN). While our journey is just beginning, the work we’ve done so far has already had a meaningful impact on the families we serve.

Making Sensory Equipment Accessible

One of our key initiatives has been to increase access to sensory equipment that can improve quality of life. Recognizing that these items can be prohibitively expensive, we’ve held raffles for sensory equipment like spinning carousel chairs, valued between £100-£150. By offering raffle tickets for just £5, we’ve made these vital resources more affordable, allowing families to access the support they need at a fraction of the cost.

Offering Ongoing Support and Guidance

Every other Sunday, we host our SEN Support Groups, where health professionals come alongside families to provide expert advice and emotional support. These sessions create a space for families to ask questions, share experiences, and find comfort in knowing they are not alone. Beyond our in-person meetings, we’ve also made it a priority to be accessible through our social media platforms, where we share valuable information and continue to offer guidance to those who need it most.

Going the Extra Mile: A Story of Compassion

One of the most powerful moments we’ve experienced so far came when we learned about a little girl in desperate need of a bespoke piece of equipment to help her leave her home. Due to her serious health condition, this young girl is on palliative care and unable to get out of the house without a special piece of equipment that would allow her to lie flat. We immediately reached out to various charities, agencies, and health professionals, determined to find a solution.

Thanks to the generosity of a company that could provide the necessary equipment, we’ve started fundraising to help cover the cost of this life-changing item. To further support the family, we arranged for an assessment from the company to ensure the equipment will be tailored to the girl’s specific needs. But we didn’t stop there. We also wanted to make this family’s Christmas a little brighter, so we arranged gifts for the little girl and her family, and our wonderful partners at Black Feenix Catering provided a Christmas dinner for them, bringing warmth and joy during a challenging time.

Looking Ahead

The journey has just begun, and we have so many exciting plans for the future. We are committed to continuing to support families in need, raise awareness about SEN, and advocate for access to the equipment, services, and emotional support that every child and family deserves. We are incredibly grateful to our donors, partners, and volunteers who make all of this possible. Together, we are creating lasting change, and we can’t wait to see what’s to come.

"Since hearing about our little girl, The Nigel Prosser Foundation have done nothing but go above and beyond for our family. They arranged for Emilee’s favourite Disney character to come and see her, bought us gifts for Christmas and even arranged with the Black Feenix Catering company to have Christmas dinner hand delivered to us!! They have been fantastic in supporting our family, really trying their hardest to get Emilee what she truly deserves and for that we are so grateful to each and every one of them"

10/11/2024 - Today myself and my family attended the first Sen session provided by the Nigel Prosser Foundation which I was amazed with how quickly my son adjusted to new surroundings as he usually struggles when being taken to unfamiliar places. The room was the perfect size, the specialist toys/sensory items there were great and it wasn’t too busy or too quiet. It was a perfect medium. Anyone needing a safe space to take there SEN child/children and feel welcomed and supported, this is the group for you! Thank you again

I recently won a spinning carousel chair on the foundations raffle, the chair is amazing and my son loves it! Entry of the raffle was super easy and I won a fantastic prize off a very reasonable entry fee. Will definitely be supporting the foundation in any further raffles or competitions. Great work guys!!
