The Nigel Prosser Foundation is dedicated to providing financial, educational and materialistic support for the benefit of SEN families to relieve the pressures and burdens they face to enable participation more fully in society, in particularly, but not exclusively, by providing information, activities, equipment, guidance, advice and educational signposting specifically for families with SEN children in the UK.
The story behind the name of the foundation
The Nigel Prosser Foundation was established in loving memory of Nigel Prosser, a remarkable man whose sudden passing in March 2023, left an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew him. When I delivered my eulogy at Nigel's funeral, I made a promise to his beloved grandson, Toby, that I would always help keep Nigel’s memory alive.
Nigel's unwavering support and love for his family were evident in everything he did. He often said, “I know Toby is different, but he’s great, isn’t he?” This sentiment reflects Nigel’s deep appreciation for individuality and the joy he found in family moments.
He was not only a dedicated grandfather but also a cherished friend and advisor to many. His kindness, humour, and wisdom touched countless lives.
The foundation aims to honour Nigel's legacy by fostering community support, sharing invaluable resources, and providing guidance to families facing challenges similar to our family. In honouring his memory, we strive to reflect the warmth and love he shared with everyone around him. Nigel is deeply missed, but through this foundation, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift others.

What can I say about my Grandad?
I know he was many things to so many of you, to my nanny he was her soul mate, to my mommy and daddy he was a role model, to my sister and Thanita he was one of their first loves. To so many of his friends, he was their guidance and someone to lean on. But to me, my Grandad was so much more, he was my hero.
He was the only person I'd allow to give me a thousand kisses a day and not push away. He was the only person who's smile brightened up my day. He was the one who loved me for who I am and loved my quirky ways. I knew that when I was with him, I would be okay.
I know that Nanny, Daddy and Mommy will continue to help me remember you. You were the bestest friend a little boy could wish for. Thank you for fighting so hard to be here with us, I will love you forever, sleep tight Grandad, until we meet again."
